Primaris Space Dwarf Conversion W.I.P.1

Super awesome space dwarf, had to throw that out there since was the first impulsive title to use for this article. You can tell yours on that title later, moving.

So I done a few Conversions of miniature models in the best, but none have survived moving to be useful with this blog, so one will start fresh which I indeed to share here.

So a few nights ago I had a great deal of freedom after work, a rarity, and I decided to go to one of my favorite hobby stores in this area, Fantasy Games. I went had a set limited I wanted to spend, I didn't stick to it but I had fun and I didn't break the bank.

Having collection of various factions of all settings of warhammer , I honestly could not decide on which one to expand one. So I wondered around the store and just had fun.

I came across a special release a limited edition model. It was Grombridal, white dwarf 40th anniversary model.

Also the easy to build Primaris space marine's intercessors.

We these two purchases I had a insane possible foolish idea for a conversion.

Kit bash both box and try make something fun maybe later the test bed for mold and casting experiments.

So I want to take the Grombridal model and take it down to the basic of the power armor which the original sculpture made to resemblance the Primaris Marines armor. I even debating making a squat army based on this little guy.

Going to clean up the Grombridal power back and get rid of the wood barrel aspect and resculpt into Manor similar to the Primaris.

Still debating about dwarf face icon on the pack may or may not resculpt as well into more Primaris.

Now from here I need to do slot of filling with greenstuff and sculpting to create the armor plating just down sized.

Unboxing: Necromunda House Escher Gang

This is exciting finally get a look at the miniatures from warhammmer necromunda game. There is so.much rich history and fun connect to the old game and background and now to see it be revived it just amazing. Personal note: with life responsibilities not all day able to take time for the hobby of miniatures let alone my art, working to be more frequent with post and updates I have found it really helps me relax. So the Escher Gang box. I'm kinda impressed with box art, Will post the original art peicevwhen I can find it. Now onto looking at the contents. So we have have two stories of miniatures that are exactly the same, instructions and a set of 10 special round bases for the miniatures. Each of these bases are highly detailed and shaped to mimic the necromunda (and zone mortalis forgeworld boards) I think of have some fun ideas for converting even the bases Will have to experiment at a later time. Necromunda House Escher bolter conversion WIP 1

After looking over the necromunda gang house Escher box I decide I really wanted to started out with jumping into converting many of the weapons. The aim of my immediate work will to get many of the weapons cleaned up and fine to the basic form. First of these weapons will be the gang leaders range weapons the combi bolter/needler. I hope lay the ground work for future conversion of this fun bolter gun, first step will to take of the leaders arm from the bit of the spru, than clean up by saving the material and sanding where I can as much as possible. This is going to take some time for extra focus to detail and precision cuts, while there are two of these weapons in the box I rather not have to use that one yet. Primaris Space Dwarf Conversion W.I.P. 2

Continueing the good work on this insane idea and having a blast with it. So here are some photos of further progress. The chest and mid torso is far from finished I will sand and resculpt to get all the details right and mimic the Primaris space marine's armor as best as possible. Planning keep chest plate center plain and blank for later caste conversion. So in the image above you see all the components next to to each other I apologise for the quality of the photos. The power pack needs only a little more work till I'm satisfied. The original head will be saved for later use on another model. Now to the arms, I will be reworking them as well firstly I need to create or find bits of armored hands not flesh. Will save these for later use of course. I wish to Very much make it so after I'm caste all this in a mold for my own personal use to keep it easy for further Conversions.
